HoboEye Art:
Carie Fish, Montana, USA

Growing up in Colorado and other areas of the west, Carie Fish has been painting for as long as she can remember. "My paintings represent memories of outdoor exploration and each one translates a mood or an emotion through use of intense color, line, and the breaking down of the space created."

Carie considers her work loosely categorized as abstract expressionism. Her main influences include greats such as Richard Diebenkorn and Willem de Kooning. The idea of using gesture, line, texture, color, and many layers of paint give impact and create balance and space throughout each of her paintings. "Each layer of blended colors should be beautiful on it's own and the multiple layers intensify that beauty."

As an avid outdoor enthusiast and a resident of Bozeman, Montana, Carie Fish spends a great portion of time collecting ideas through her journeys.  Montana feeds Carie the inspiration she needs to create her deeply dynamic, intellectual abstract landscapes.  She hopes to speak to each viewer through her paintings, stirring inspiration and emotion.
